Indianola Downtown Assessment
​The City is partnering with Warren County Economic Development and Indianola Chamber of Commerce to conduct an assessment of our downtown Square.  The assessment will be conducted by the Iowa Economic Development Authority's Downtown Resource Center.  The assessment visit is scheduled for September 25 - 27, 2018.
Chamber businesses and community members are invited to provide their input.   We hope to get as many people involved as possible during the 3-day assessment to get a broad perspective from the community.   There are three opportunities to get involved:

1.  Regardless of whether you attend a public meeting, share your thoughts prior to the assessment by completing a short, online survey:  Complete Online Survey Now
2.  Attend September 25, 2018, FREE lunch meeting with the Downtown Assessment Team - 12 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Indianola Country Club, 1610 Country Club Rd.;
      Seating is limited Register for Luncheon Now
3.  Attend September 25, 2018, meeting with the Downtown Assessment Team - 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Brickhouse Tavern, 107 N. Buxton Street;
      Seating is limited - Register for Evening Meeting Now
4.  Attend September 27, 2018, meeting when Downtown Assessment Team shares assessment report - 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Indianola Parks & Recreation.  Registration not required.

Many communities across Iowa have taken advantage of this service and have successfully developed and executed plans and projects that have made a meaningful impact on their downtown districts.  Typical outcomes included improvement of downtown aesthetics, business mix and development, and building rehabilitation to name a few!
